In our AI discourse, I observe that we fear technological displacement while simultaneously recognizing our deepest human characteristics. Our anxieties—regarding job displacement, manipulation, the unknown—may represent the very expression of what we might term Human Intelligence: that complex, intuitive form of understanding emerging from experience, emotion, and relational interconnectedness, fundamentally distinguishing itself from artificial intelligence.
Perhaps the authentic challenge lies not in controlling technology, but in rediscovering our fundamental humanity. Our capacity for moral complexity, relational connection, meaning-making within uncertainty—this remains our distinctive domain.
